VMD Systems Integrators, Inc. of Tysons Corner, Va. today announced it has received a multi-year contract award from the Department of Veteran's Affairs to provide professional services support to the VA’s Office of Construction and Facilities Management (CFM) including Web application and database development support, as well as the implementation of a learning content creation and delivery platform for CFM’s distributed organization.
CFM provides business leadership, expertise, and advice in the development, acquisition, and realignment of VA real property capital assets and supports core product lines including design and construction management, consulting, leasing, capital planning, environmental programs, and enhanced-use.
"This contract is a direct result of the other ongoing work we are doing for VA, and it demonstrates the high evaluation it has of our capabilities. It extends our relationship with VA and gives us a significant boost as we pursue new business opportunities, both in the federal government and in the private sector," said VMD Chief Executive Officer Deepti Malhotra.
VMD was established in 2002 and is a woman-owned, small disadvantaged business. The company helps clients maximize the value of their information technology systems. Other VMD clients include civilian, intelligence and defense agencies. This is VMD’s second prime contract with the VA.
