The selected candidate will serve as Project Manager on one or many projects. The primary focus of the projects will be from both a functional business application standpoint, as well as a systems perspective. Most projects will involve web development components. Expectations are that the PM will independently drive the activities of the project, develop a schedule for project milestones, maintain project scope, set task deadlines, monitor staff progress, schedule and conduct meetings as required, develop and communicate project status (both internally and to client), and proactively drive the resolution of outstanding issues and project variances.

Duties
VMD is looking to hire a Sr. Network Engineer. The qualified candidate will be required to manage the administration of networks. Analyze, plan, design and implement network projects in accordance with requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions with networked systems, operating platform/database interfaces, servers, configurations, and related equipment. Devise and administer disaster recovery plans, and train staff to implement their use. Manage user access control for network resources, data security backup, and LAN security system. Reviews network configuration and plans upgrades. Prepares system backup and security policies. Support, maintain and organize prompt network support by assigning available network resources. Suggest measures for network efficiency maximization. Support the design, implementation and maintenance of Data Security projects with emphasis on CISCO firewalls.
Requirements
Must have CISSP and CCNP certification. Must have bachelor's degree or equiv. in IT, engineering. or rel. and 5 yrs of progressive exp. in IP network technology.
The work location for this position is Washington, DC.
The selected candidate will join our team as Application Developer, and should have a technology related degree, good communication skills and a minimum of 2 years experience. The candidate should be accustomed to working in a team environment, collaborating with team members and sharing ideas, while at the same time, have the ability to work as an individual with little supervision. This candidate will be developing, maintaining and supporting web applications, which include custom developed applications, as well as applications that extend certain packaged software. The candidate may also expect to be involved in the support and maintenance of some legacy applications built on Classic ASP.
